Who is Wai-Lam?
On a quiet morning not too long after I graduated from university, unbeknownst to me, I met a loving Saviour who wanted to make a purpose out of a life that was heading towards destruction.
Throughout my 20 years as a professional in the digital industry, I worked in web design + development, database management, game development, video + animation production, and marketing campaigns. I have developed marketing & communications strategies for big brands such as the University of Toronto, The Shopping Channel, Best Buy, Rogers, and Coca-Cola. All the while, I have a freelance business in web and graphic design for small businesses and non-profit organizations.
Somewhere in those 20 years, while playing the one sport that I love – volleyball, I met my husband who is now the lead pastor of our church in a small town 30 minutes outside of Toronto. There is where I launched our Creative Arts Ministry that re-imaged our church, developed marketing and communications strategies, and helped pivot our church to become a recognized brand.
After 2 long years of the pandemic, a quiet gentle voice nudged me to slow down and rest. I took a leap of faith and left my full-time job to focus on my most important roles: a mom and a wife.
